When you look in the mirror who do you see?   I hope that I see a woman who views people as individuals with hopes and dreams, challenges and road blocks, but who persevere nevertheless.  I believe that we have the right to make decisions about our own lives and to strive to be the best we can be.   It is so sad that hate can drive someone to murder innocent victims, to leave families and friends devastated and to judge someones lifestyle.

Today was yet one more reminder of the hate that lives in some folks minds.  When we glorify these behaviors in any way or denigrate a population it plants seeds of allowance in some minds-  These seeds fester and grow and continue to be nurtured by hate, making future events even more likely.  When I look in the mirror I hope that I see someone who supports and encourages difference and individual choice.
